QCQ #2
Quotation: “The nearer I approached to you habitation, the more deeply did I feel the spirit of revenge enkindled in my heart” (pg 124)
Comment: Frankenstein’s creature only feels resentment and wants revenge when he thinks about Frankenstein and any other human after his encounter with the family from the cottage. The Creature had expressed earlier a questioning as to why he was alive and a wish to not have been given life, but this was the first time he mentions actively seeking Frankenstein for the purpose of seeking revenge.
Question: If Frankenstein had shown kindness to his creature following his “birth” and later sent him away or allowed him to leave would the Creature still have the feeling of resentment and the want for revenge when he thought about Frankenstein?
